I don't see the value in bringing 2 of everything just to make inspections easier... why risk getting caught? Your instructors probably have seen it all and know when a recruit is tryin to pull a fast one... Some BMQ facts: 1. Succeding as a team is the main goal of the course 2. no inspection...
Getting into the pattern of early morning runs can only help ya during BMQ... up at 5 (4:30 if your pl cheats) running by 5:15- brekfast at 6-6:30... am's when pt and inspections (7 am) are together can be tricky.
I'm in the exact same bout.. I reapplied back in Feb 07, my VFS is all done just waiting for the call for interview/med... waiting has sucked but in the long run it'll be worth it... hearing peoples stories is also pretty cool though and encouraging
Congrats Sixshooter, as someone who's...
Thanks IAJG... good topic.
My 2 MOC choices are: 1.Tfc Tech 2.RMS.. hoping for traffic tech.. 24 seems kinda low or am I wrong (not sure how popular the trade is)?
What's the number for RMS?
Waiting for a call is the worst.. I reapplied Feb 15(after a vr), and was told last week that my...
Saw this movie last night.. I thought it was pretty good, lots of action and an interesting plot... I never knew how many calculations go into becoming a sniper/ taking the shot... I'd give the movie 8/10
It wasn't easy for me... felt like crap, but after about a month I put it in the past and concentrated on my present/future.. and how to use it as a learning experience... going to Franham daily while on PAT helped give me a better understanding of my instructors/ military life outside...
I agree that the blue sector is alot nicer... however when on BMQ I'd prefer the green sector..easier to get to know more people faster(20-30 per room vs 6), plus easier for inspections(get to compare w/ more people and green sec. better promits team work/building. Blue's are only used for BMQ...
I was on reg force BMQ, not sure if there's much difference compared to reserves..weekend BMQ sounds like it MAY be easier(adjusting/less days per week,etc)..@ 26, I'd rather be full-time CF then part-time CF... not that there's anything wrong w/ reserves.
I agree with ya 100 % VR's are almost always regreted, I kinda wish they'd give ya a week instead of a day to decide.. but do a search on here and you'll find that your situation has happened many times before... if ya really want it... stay focused, reapply after 6 months and giver your all. PM...
It should be a great interview... I remember watching the feature on him (and what happened and how he and his family have coped since then) during The National a few months ago..his story is remarkable and he's the truest of :cdn: hero's :salute:
This is great news.. I've been waiting for my RC to retrieve my previous file/VFS (got out last Sept during bmq) and call me for my interview/medical date maybe things might move faster now...It's been a month since I reapplied and while I know people will say that's nothing, to me it's felt...
Oh, my step mill workout is just part of my PT... I also do some swimming/running/push-ups/sit-ups... plus lift weights for like 1-1.5 hrs/4 times a week... the base gym here in greenwood,NS is great and cheap even for a current civy... I tend to spend 2-2.5 hrs there like 4or5 times a week...
Hi, about 2-3 weeks ago I started to work out on the step mill at my gym and I gotta say that I love it.. I find that it makes for a great cardio/strength workout and afterwards I'm usually soaked (fr sweat) and fatigued.. I using it for overall fitness and in preparation of re-entering the CF...
oh, in health issues I was refering to a couple things that I was experiencing at the time ("I lost my head") I put my VR in but were resolved a week later... I wasn't sleeping at all (maybe an hour/night) which lead to other problems (fatigue/stress/high blood pressure) once I began sleeping at...
