If pay doesn't go up after basic, when do you see your first pay raise, is it yearly? CF recruiter led me to believe i would get a pay raise after basic, perhap they ment once i was posted to my unit! any clarification on this?

Trav if they told you their is no such thing as a Merit list, they are pulling you chain. Start calling your recruitment office every week to two week's and asking questions. And yes i know how you feel when you say you always get a different answer, I went through all the Malarcgy for 13...

lights are out by 11:00 and you better make sure they dont catch anyone up in the middle of the night, because they will co e through 2-3 times through out the night. after the first two week, sundays are usually a day off from training, but they can change that if you piss them off.

Just send in the papers they ask you to send in. You may be required to go back 2 or 3 times to complete your tests, IE: PT,Medical, written,  and also interview, some times most of these are done on the same day, but not always, dont worry depending how far you gotta drive to your recruiting...

to update what i wrote above, i got my call three days ago for 031 infantry, i start basic august 31st

you will gone for 10 weeks, just over 2 months.. Around the 5th week your platoon will be given weeknd leave, you can either go see your wife or she can come and see you. you will have to write a letter to the CO in the proper context to get any kind of leave though. On the tenth week you will...

I wore a suit and felt a little over dressed, i mean it didnt bother me at all, because i know i wanted to look presentable and proffesional. But like they are saying, a nice shirt and tie is sufficient, the CF personnel realize that not everyone owns a suit, they are not cheap these days....

it wont take you two years to get into shape, since i havent seen you,   i can no way give   good accurate advice, however that said, i would go have your bodyfat tested, you may find even though you are in good shaoe for your size, that you could still probably loose 40 lbs, once you find out...
