I came back in with a QL3, never got a thing. That was just a rumour. There is a CANFORGEN and CFAO out about the whole thing.

    US admits 'bounty hunter' contact

I don't think we really need to know how certain geovernments obtain their "most wanted". The more the public knows, the more they will try to drive their government. This is just a personal view. Oh yeah, I don't agre with embedding news personel in conflicts either (in case anyone was...

Basic Trainig In St. Jean Que.

I agree with GerryCan. The most stress I had was the stress I put on myself. After I learnt how to "play the game" everything was fine and I ended up having a blast. A note to the originator. The early mornings don't stop after basic training. Depending on your trade, you're 3's, battle school...

    ATIS and LCIS TECH.

It's actually caled a recruiting allowance. Last I checked this was the break down: Post Secondary Education $10,000 Industry Work Experience and Certifications $20,000 ($10G now, and the other $10G in 12 months) Previous military experience (QL5) $20,000 ($10G now, and the other $10G in 12...

    Ontario Taxes and Premiums

Maybe we should have the option to pay into it based on our domestic situation. If you have dependants, then yes - one member of the household should pay into it. I'm sure I'm not alone on this - I have no dependants that rely on this system and in turn will never be able to use it.

    Worst Civilian Section (POLL)

Are you suggesting that the poll be removed? This is not an issue of greivance or harrassment expression, simply personal opinion. Personally, I have worked for civilian contractors (ATCO), CF Sections (NPF) and I also have a significant amount of Regular Force service and I have formed my...

    The CFS Alert Merged Thread

Does anybody know how I can get information on the General Duty tours to CFS Alert? I know we used to have them in our base routine orders, but they're not there anymore. Any ideas or links would be greatly appreciated.

    Ranger Course

I'm not surprised that the manual is online. What I am surprised about is it's root server (Siena College, NY). I've noticed that most of the US military training doctrines are unclas (maybe that's how the Iraqis knew to hit them in the rear). I remember old Canadian manuals being restricted...

    Ontario Taxes and Premiums

I know I got a little carried away in my original post but I would like to throw out a thought for some feedback: Paying a health premium for resources that can not be used by military personnel. What''s the general feeling about that?

    Ontario Taxes and Premiums

I'll have to look in to some more. Either way, It makes me sick to look at my "Tax To Date" portion of my pay stub - and it's going to be even worse once I start seeing the OHP coming off of there!

    Ontario Taxes and Premiums

I agree, I may have gotten a little carried away and started to vent a little bit - I'm all better now  8) However, this is the information that I have for Ontario: first $33,375 - 22.05% over $33,375 up to $35,000 - 25.15%  over $35,000 up to $66,752 - 31.15% over $66,752 up to $70,000 -...

    Ontario Taxes and Premiums

I'm going to rant about the average deductions for regular working class folk in Ontario. When it was finally announced that we in Ontario have to start paying into an Ontario Health Premium, I was floored! One reason led to another which then led me here to bitch about it. Being in the...

    Sigs Question

...but aren't there Naval Signallers? As a Sig Op, I could see the confusion - my own wife hardly gets it. So I tell her "Yes, Sig Ops are army but my unit (JSR) is a joint or tri-service unit. And the base carries a majority of army". You should have seen the look on her face when I told...
