Oh. Well... i‘m not sure. I just felt like stating that... :-\
ANYWAYS, back on topic: I have a weakness for German things... cars, weapons... women :D
H&K make awesome weapons, Porsche makes awesome cars...
I‘m pretty temped to buy the knife shown above (the one I posted)... if not to use in the field just because it looks so **** neat (i love matte black blades)
It‘s acctually really hard to judge size in that picture....
Ok just checked the manufacturer‘s site... the blade itself is 7" long.. heh that‘s quite large.
I guess that‘s a bit too large for the field. When shall I get my issue Gerber? After BMQ or afer trade course (when I get cadpat)?
What do you experienced guys like in the field? Do you find a gerber is better? or is a nice solid knife always nice?
I‘ve been looking for a nice knife. At first I thought, hmm a KA-BAR is cool.. but then I decided the USMC is icky. Then I found this:
Becker Combat Utility 7
Designed for...
yeah, H&K make nice weapons. I‘ve always wanted to fire a G36E myself. What calibre is the G63E? I‘m thinking 5.56mm NATO but i‘m not 100% sure. Those Europeans have some crazy sizes (shoes, electrical plugs... lol)
what the deuce is a CL?
Also, no. I don‘t have a problem with Cadets. I have a problem with cadets when they want to buy tac vests and CF bayonettes & scabbards for the LCF (look cool factor)....
hmm I was referring to the original poster being a cadet (yes I know I could have worded it better), but anyways...
And yes, he gets it issued but you can‘t keep it. It‘s not part of the issued kit you get in your QM. technically you‘re borrowing it for a while.
Rice, you don‘t "get one for free". You‘re issued one with your rifle and you‘re expected to give it back when you hand in your rifle.
Do you cadets realize that it‘s NOT a toy?
