Does anyone know where I can find the joining instructions for the CAP course this summer? I would like to have a look at them, the sooner the better, so I can get ready and not have to rush when it comes time to leave.
Thanks
French = mother tongue, although I am always speaking English now (happens when you've been going to English school for 4 years :P)
English
At some point I would like to learn Spanish and Italian and possibly others, depending on how quickly I catch on to those
Would it be possible to search the members database by unit? I would be interested in knowing who from my unit comes to this site as I am sure other members would as well.
I am however well aware that some members do not say who their home unit is, but it would be an interesting option to have...
I am in 34 CBG and was affected by this change. I had to start BMQ part time on the fourth weekend. I would also be interested in what is involved in the courses in Gadgetown.
I also recently started a blog on my BMQ experience, and although I am on the same BMQ as the guy whose site I posted it is an opportunity to see two different perspectives. The main differences being I started the course late.
My site can be found here:

while on the topic of half masts...
I was wondering how a member of the CF is suppose to pay respects to a half masted flag, assume we should salute when in uniform? and what about when in civvies?
thanks
thanks for the info jungle!
considering these boots are still 'in definition' and I assume that getting something into the system for all to have access could take quite a bit of time, wouldn't it be best that they continue with the Mk 3's while waiting for the next ones. Because as has been...
I went to the clothing store the other day and was hoping I could get my second pair of MK 3's, unfortunately I had no such luck... due to the boot shortage :'(
However the Cpl or Sgt (I can't remember hie rank) I spoke to said that the army is in the process of changing the combat boots and...
In answer to the question of the original poster, yes their are other sites that have people talking about their basic training experience.
here is the link to one I found

OK,
so I'll answer my own question
the Montreal Garrison phone number is 514-252-2777 and the extension for the clothing store is 2262 after which you can select an option that tells you the opening hours.
OK ,
maybe it's just me but as far as I know (I could be wrong here) you can't be refused based on size ??? (wouldn't it be discrimination to do so??)
I'm in infantry and there is at least one person in my unit that is very small, below 5' . Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong
I've looked at a few of the photos posted on this thread and the mess kit is nice... But does anyone have photos of women in mess dress, I would like to see what the differences are (if any)
thanks
I was wondering if anyone knows the phone number and\or the opening hours of the clothing store at Longue-Pointe. I tried looking but couldn't find it anywhere...
thanks
ok,
maybe I'm blind or something but I can't find this rating thing ???. I tried to look through my profile and can't find it, I've looked on other peoples profiles to se what their rating is and can't find that either.
Can anyone point me in the right direction.
before anyone asks I tried to...
This is how I was told to lace my boots:
at the bottom the laces should come over your boot, when you first put your laces in, after the lace that is over your big toe should always be on top of the other part of the lace.
this sounds a little confusing doesn't it?? ???
after putting your lace...
I usually try to browse for the info or look on the DND website before posting questions. besides when browsing I sometimes come up with new questions or answers to questions I didn't know I had.
I am looking forward to my BMQ and phase 2 course this summer although I might regret it after a week or so. So far for obstacles I've made in the army and that was an obstacle that took 4 years to surmount, next on the list is BMQ and that's coming this summer, and when thats done I'll let you...
