I said it on my BMQ..... Sgt said to shine them next time. I said fine. I was merely doing what the tag on the boots said (Do not shine).

I did an every weekend BMQ course with about 6 DEOs... They were treated like Privates, and got no special treatment what so ever. That could be because the majority on the course were NCMs, but still. From what I understoon "Everyone on BMQ is the same rank since you all know nothing."

I dunno, I just remember one of the Captains saying we have a level that most other trades wouldn't get. I don't recall exactly what clearance he said but he said something to the effect of "Feel special, they don't give this to just anyone."... even though we don't even have the clearance...
