They should shoot a season of "seal wars" a spin off of "whale wars". Watch the nut cases harass the sealers, getting warned to back off, and then watch as try and resist arrest like in cops after they try and outrun a chopper lol.

Funny you mention that; I had to change out of my OTW before I left the tank park in KAF. I bet with the new one the same rules will still apply: NOT allowed in KAF.

I already have 2 OTW's so no new cost if I get the chance to deploy again.
You will get trained as one. Breacher is a small part of the trade. If you are joining just because you want to be/employed a breacher; you should look again at what we do.

I suspect they are going to look like/are what I seen a lot of guys wearing while I was there: basically the sleeves of our combat shirt, sewn on an issued brown t-shirt. I think I am going to stick with my 2 OTW's if I go over again.
Well another good example of senior leadership out of touch with the troops. I think before people make these decisions they should look at its affect on troops; and not stop as far as the wire.
Having a Timm's coffee, burger, or pizza is a large morel boost for those who don't see KAF all...

Couldn't the airstrip be used as a drop zone until our Air Field Engineers extend/make the airfield capable to land a C17 or CC130?
From someone that is currently in that situation, it is a big adjustment. I have been away from my unit for almost 2 years, and there is a big difference coming back.
He should check with his unit, and see what supports are in place for his return: for example is he returning to a position...
Can we sustain another long term mission logistically with our current operation in Afghanistan. If you put manning aside (use of more reservists), can we logistically support to missions in to different regions of the world?
I never had a problem with the Oakley boots; after 6 months in Afghanistan, they are showing alot of wear, but not much more then my magnums (I alternated boots usually daily).
I was in a job were we were mostly mounted, and I can see how they would wouldn't stand up to consent abuse in some...
