If you look at what they conside a full course, its a course that spans a full fall and winter semester. For the vast majority of university courses, they only cover half that. This is where the 4 courses comes from. edit to add from the DAOD: Academic Requirements 3.3 An applicant is also...

    Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP)-RMC 2000 - 2018 [Merged]

BMOQ will assess you as a team player, as a leader, it will test your mental and physical stamina while putting stressors on you and  it will teach you very basic soldering and administrative skills. Its a steep learning curve but its designed that way. Is basic tough...if you make it through...

    Length of veh tech training

We don't have enough recovery assets to cover the reg force...like MilEME has said the wreckers are often down. Right now I would argue its a budgetary thing. I know when I was at svn bn our recovery section covered off a few different units and national recovery covered off a fairly large...

The first line you wrote there, 100% yes thats how it works. You haven't been selected but you could be, so you get acs. Best of luck with acs as it is tough...wear comfortable shoes ;) Btw everyone will go through all the tests not just the ones for their trade...the fun part is you wont...

Same boat, I've got the green gortex one. Couple years back when I was still at a field unit, I was told that unless I was deploying somewhere that needed it, I wasn't going to get the cadpat one. I've only ever seen a few people wearing it, most folks I know still have the green one. I'm with...

University Training Plan NCM (UTPNCM) 2005 - 2018 [Merged]

So what trade are you going to ACS for? Because if the boards already sat, then you were picked for one trade, not all 3. It would suck if you were picked for pilot, but only passed for ASCO or air traffic control officer and not have an offer for those 2 trades since they were already filled...

University Training Plan NCM (UTPNCM) 2005 - 2018 [Merged]

That would mean that the selection boards have already sat....which they haven't. I was in this exact same scenario 2 years ago. I was found suitable for pilot during my interview with the PSO, file sent to DMCA (think they are still called that). They scheduled me for ACS. When I did not pass...

University Training Plan NCM (UTPNCM) 2005 - 2018 [Merged]

If, during your interview with the pso, you are found suitable for an air crew trade, you will go to air crew selection. It doesnt mean you will be selected. You must pass acs for your file to go to the utpncm selection board for that air crew trade. If you do not pass acs, the pso at the acs...

Scores are the big thing...but everything is read and taken into consideration. Get ready for a long wait...when have you ever seen the CAF do anything early....late is a safer bet. If selected expect somewhere around mid to end may. Good luck! Sent from my Samsung S6 using Tapatalk

I think the big proble is the dart is force generated so mostly restricted to things we already have in the military. I know the dart CO was working on getting some new things like a case/cat backhoe to replace the mpev and a vehicle like the polaris dagr to go over terrain in a disastar area...

I found math.com was really good at getting me ready for the math portion. The cfat can be stressful....just take a breath, relax, and work through it. Sent from my Samsung S6 using Tapatalk

No worries, if you havent already wrote it, there are lots of good study guides on this site. Concentrate on grade 10 math. Decimals to fractions and number patterns. Its really not that bad. Sent from my Samsung S6 using Tapatalk

Canadian Forces Aptitude Test (CFAT) [MERGED]

Bingo. And if more people apply then you may not get in on the next round of offers if they score really well. Case in point, i scored in the 60th percentile 14 years ago. At the time that was fine for the job I applied for and was offered a job about 3 months after applying. Fast forward 10...

Canadian Forces Aptitude Test (CFAT) [MERGED]

Eligable yes...but say there are 10 openings and 100 applicants that are all eligable, you want to have a really high score to be in the top 10 and get one of those openings. If not, you may not get a job offer. Sent from my Samsung S6 using Tapatalk

Id be amazed if the dart can get anything. I know its always a fight to get stuff for them as they are force generated. Im surprised they have as much as they do at their hanger in trenton. But anyways at least the sof guys got some new toys to play with. Sent from my Samsung S6 using Tapatalk

Canadian Forces Aptitude Test (CFAT) [MERGED]

The answer is it depends. All trades have a cutoff score, and its based on percentile. Some trades have an additional stipulation that you must score so well in certain areas of the cfat as well. I dont have dwan access for a specific example however. Keep in mind as well that many others are...
