If the realtor is on the approved Third-party providers list from Brookfield or BGRS (whatever they call themselves) then they have already agreed to that commission rate. So it should not be an issue.
I can't speak to whether you will be happy with life in the CAF or not. However, if you do decide to change your mind and do not want to enrole, you should contact your recruiting center as soon as possible. There aren't going to be consequences like not being able to join ever again. You can...
I'm happy my posting isn't until the end of September this year....everyone else can sort out the BGRS mess and I get all the ins and outs before having to move haha.
In all honesty I don't know. When I did my IRP move 3 years ago everyone just billed Brookfield directly so I was unaware of who handled what funds. I know my realtors needed my number from Brookfield so I just assumed they billed directly.
So if tpsp are not taking the preloaded visa how does one go about paying something like realtor fees when your house sells. They can be in the 10s of thousands of dollars?

It depends on the course.
Some courses require the member to be physically fit to be put on the course. If the course is mainly academic and not physical then you might be ok.
It may be in the qualification standard for that course. Id just contact the school that runs the ql5 and ask.

I've had the complete opposite experience. The best and hardest working Officers that looked after their troops that I have had in the last 15 years were CFRs and UTP candidates. The worst, and always seemed like they were just there for the "check in the box" were the ROTP ones. So its easy to...
Aint that the truth.
I had my offer on the 2nd of june. Posting message mid june with a COS of mid july. I had to push my COS back the 30 days just to be able to fit the move in.
It was very hectic.

I'm kind of surprised by this. When I was posted from Pet to Kingston in 2015 I used my PMV for the HHT and was paid for the calculated mileage to get to Kingston, and then I submitted the mileage I used (not gas receipts) for the time in the city actually doing the house hunt. This was the...
Way too early to expect an offer yet.
Mid April, and May seems to be when they start each year.
The waiting game sucks but you are going to have to wait a bit longer. ;)
IIRC the new policy is that DEO applicants don't need to pass the CFAT. Regardless of their score, the file is processed and sent to selections (after the regular interview, medical, etc).
However I wouldn't expect to have a competitive file without a passing CFAT score.

If weapons tech is what you really want then wait for it. The trade is quite small (250ish Canada wide) so it may take a while but it is your career. I know and have worked with lots of weapons guys and most love what they do.
Buck_HRA is a recruiter and may be able to give you actual intake...
I was an EO tech for 12 years before switching over to the dark side as an Officer 3 year ago.
Both EO and Weapons work pretty closely together. Every time you deploy to the field as a 1st line repair team, an EO tech is always paired with a Weapons tech. The work isn't so much that it is...
Anyone is allowed to take the course. Actually getting the course may be a bit tougher. There are only so many spots and the priority is given to those in jump positions.
Not saying it wont happen as I managed to get a jump course as a tech but it will be tough.

Pretty much any post that has to do specifically with an EO tech sight really has no place in this thread as its supposed to be about the EO tech occupation
That being said, like EpicBeardedMan has said, feel free to shoot me a pm with any questions you have that are EO related. I've been an EO...
