Given today's information environment, we see data gaps being filled in ALL sorts of ways ....That makes absolutely zero sense ...

I'm not an "eat the rich" kind of guy, but even I find myself having little sympathy for the ultra rich who make their wealth off the suffering of others.
Does it need to exist though? Some countries have single payer systems. Turning health funding into a system for profiteers is a choice.Health insurance needs to exist, but there is likely a way to run it that isn't purely profit driven.

Most countries have a public/private model, which is likely the best way to do things, but point taken.Does it need to exist though? Some countries have single payer systems. Turning health funding into a system for profiteers is a choice.
When you commodify the basic necessities of life, you're liable to find a small sector of society willing to turn a buck at the suffering of their fellow man. You'll find a corresponding majority of folks who have no sympathy when said sector get their comeuppance.Does it need to exist though? Some countries have single payer systems. That’s not exactly true. You note that the Dems despite their hate on for gun ownership, have to my knowledge never limited private security to non-lethal means only.
However 75% of Federal firearm restrictions down here have been enacted under Democrat Presidents. That’s not exactly true.
Plenty of Dems own guns. My uncle would make Bernie Sanders seem right-wing, and he has a freaking arsenal in Southern California. His AR was the first time I saw an M-16.
He also speaks fondly of his time just post-Vietnam in ROTC in university in TX, so the idea that left-wing Dems disdain military service is also not totally correct.
Both can be true. However 75% of Federal firearm restrictions down here have been enacted under Democrat Presidents.
National Forearms Act 1935 - FDR
Gun Control Act 1968 - LBJ
Assault Weapon Bill 1994 - Bill Clinton.
The only exception was the Bush Sr. 89 Semi-Auto Import Ban, and it lost him the gun vote, who don’t really turn out in the 1992 Election to Bill Clinton (and look where that got us…).
I saw a report that the killer used one of these, which explains the manual cycling.

I'm pulling together the relevant links now. I'll post them shortly, or once home.
But apparently she recently purchased $250k of stock in a company that is poised to benefit financially somehow. (Could very well be absolute nonsense)
If I had to choose either a peeved off customer or a hired pro on this one, to me he looks like a hired pro. Everything about this screams hired hut to me. Even his extract was well done
Given how “great” the housing market is in Canada right now, I’m not sure that’s the analogy I’d go with.Allowing people to profit from offering a service is the key to motivating people to provide a service. One of the great happenstances of human behaviour is that selfishness can be harnessed for useful outcomes. There is no reason health insurance is different in this regard from providing food or housing.
Insurance is a financial product, for those who may have forgotten.
That’s not exactly true.

Prior to Bill Clinton every US President from Ike to George HW Bush served in WW 2 Dems included.I've noticed a shift in my lefty friends here in Canada, a noticeable amount went out got licenses and firearms.
