There's a recipe for thermite in it - some enterprising youngsters in my Gr 11 class approached the chem teacher known to have been hired more to coach rugby than teach chemistry...it's pretty simple actually, just rust up some nails, scrape it off and bake it. Get some together and use something hot to cook it off - magnesium strip was a suggestion IIRC. Well, the other issue with this dude is he almost blew up/burned down the lab more than once - tossed 8 oz of raw sodium into a bucket of water and it didn't just burst into flames, it detonated and tattooed water marks into the ceiling...he also was showing flammability of different hydrocarbons in organics one day, dish of octane spilled, while lit, over the bench and he tried putting it out with water...anyway, he offered to cook the thermite off with some raw phosphorus in lieu of the magnesium
...in the class...on the bench. Thankfully someone thought that this was a bad idea and terminated it prior to enacting it...
